Tom Hingley is also lead singer in The Inspiral Carpets. March 2008 sees tom hingley and the Lovers release their second album 'Highlights'. 3 years in the making it is a work of art. Poetic,melodic and well worth the wait. Highlights is the first release from the band since their critically aclaimed 2004 debut 'Abba Are the Enemy'. Where 'Abba' was a brash 200 mph Punk/Garage dash through topical subjects such as reality television,the Pop parade and War Mongering, 'Highlights' sees the band developing along a much more melodic soulfull train of thought.
