This budget-line collection may not contain the complete Elvis 1957 sessions as its subtitle claims, but it does come pretty close to containing all the masters from this seminal year in Presley's career. In that regard, it's a good bargain but as a package it's pretty shoddy -- so serious fans who are looking for this material should turn to RCA's complete '50s box, The King of Rock & Roll instead. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
