1978's HEARTS OF STONE closed out a trilogy of classic Southside Johnny And The Asbury Jukes albums which also included 1976's I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME and 1977's THIS TIME IT'S FOR REAL. Like its predecessors, HEARTS OF STONE sticks closely to the band's proven formula--soul merged with rock played by one of the best bar bands to ever grace a concert stage.
Bruce Springsteen and Steve Van Zandt lend a major hand, writing all the songs included here. Standouts include the title track, one of Southside Johnny's best known tunes, as well as the album opener, "Got to Be a Better Way Home."
