The conflict in the lyrics of songs like “Chance of a Lifetime” show a man who is truly struggling not only with his faith, but with his own identity, creating a story that, while a little on the nose, is an interesting one nonetheless. It’s this directness, though, that helps to make Testimony Two a compelling piece for Morse’s fans by telling his story without ambiguity or obfuscation.
