Irish folk heroes Finbar and Eddie Furey earned their fame in the U.K. and Europe during the 1960s and became quite popular with North American folk audiences during the '70s, often performing with their brothers George and Paul. The Fureys formed an artistic alliance with multi-instrumentalist Davey Arthur while assembled in Germany during the year 1978. The group underwent dramatic changes over the years, including master piper Finbar's pursuit of a solo career during the '90s, Davey's departure in 1998, and the unexpected death of Paul in June 2002.
