How can you not love a band that records AND tours with a robot as full-time member Though its music tends to sound somewhat like a dissonant Gary Numan (heavy on the synthesizers), you'd never guess that the band's drums were mechanically performed unless you were told. The robo-drummer was conceived and built by Matt Steinke, who's also responsible for the two short Brothers-Quay-meets-Pee-Wee's-Playhouse style animation films that are on the CD-ROM part of the disc.
