Chi Chi
In the late 1950s, U.S. bandleader Barry DeVorzon (who later sang with Barry & the Tamerlanes) had a huge hit in Germany with the sax-led instrumental "Chi Chi" under the name John Buck & the Blazers, though it never made a dent in America, and subsequent German recordings under the "John Buck" name were in fact by another artist. The CHI CHI collection contains not only all the material DeVorzon recorded as John Buck, but also the work of the "other" John Buck, a German artist named Horst Wendt, making for a fascinating slice of pop history.
