A collaborative project between veteran American producers Rod Modell and Steve Hitchell, 'Liumin' is Echospace's second album and comes some three years after their debut 'The Coldest Season'. Originally conceived from field recordings Modell made whilst in Tokyo, the album manages to fuse dub influenced techno and ambient soundscapes into a dark and brooding mix. From the disorientating static ambience of opener 'In Echospace' through to the techno thud of 'BCN Dub' the album is a masterclass in deep, ambient techno.
