Orgy
Candy Ass has it down pat on Orgy, the band's debut for R.A.F.R. (or "Rock and F*ckin' Roll"). Over six tracks, the quartet meshes the trashy punk of its N.Y.C. home with snotty girl group talk-backs and a pleasing, if common, new wavy aftertaste. It's probably fortunate that this release is only six tracks -- over a full album, Candy Ass' pink-and-black ice cream would melt pretty quickly. But on Orgy, it sizzles with cool and glitters like silver eyeliner. "This is the story of a badass babe," the statuesque Galadriel sings at the beginning of "Bullets Bounce Off."
